Julie Jordan – Good Report

Presenters/Programs,Religious,Unknown — ghi07, May 11, 2011, 1:55 pm

Sundays 9pm till midnight

Tune in to the Good Report and you will hear a program with a Bible-believing Christian focus.

At 9pm and 10pm, there is usually news of various topical issues and events, both here in Australia and overseas.

At about 9:15 there is great preaching, usually from Pastor Paul Chappell of Lancaster Baptist Church, California, USA. His emphasis is on proclaiming the eternal Gospel of Jesus Christ, and its application as well to various issues of life. His preaching is clear and unequivocal, and his style is friendly. He often speaks on family issues.

At about 10:10, you will hear the Unshackled program, the longest-running radio program, which recounts in dramatic theatre the life-story of many different people from all walks of life, and how their lives have been transformed by an encounter with the living God.
There is also some Christian music and Bible reading. You may also hear some thoughts on the creation/evolution issue, usually derived from the Creation magazine, the work of many scientists respected in their fields and with credentials that match any prominent media spokesmen on these topics.

Paul Savrimoutou – Sunday Brunch

Sunday 9am to 11am

Alive 90.5 has featured Sunday Brunch for many years. It all started with Ian Maurice followed by Nina Harris and Debra Dicembre. Over the years the music changed a little but the emphasis was always on good, relaxing music.

Paul Savrimoutou now brings his own style to the program, featuring smooth jazz music with a bit of a twist.

From 9am to 11 he plays the music of George Benson, Bob James, Lee Ritenour,Larry Carlton, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Al Jarreau, Incognito, Anita Baker, Sade, Bobby Caldwell, Gabriella Anders, Abe Laboriel, Michael Franks, Brian Bromberg, Marcus Miller, Earth Wind and Fire, Quincy Jones, John Patitucci, Chick Corea, Jean-Luc Ponty, Tommy Emmanuel, Chuck Loeb, Spyro Gyra, Diana Krall, Chris Standring, Grover Washington Jr, Jeff Lorber and many more.

Anybody who listens to Sunday Brunch for two  hours and feel they would like more should stay tuned because Bassikly Grooving  follows at 11:00 with more great music. Larry and Paul are great buddies with similar tastes in music. So every few months Larry and Paul join forces for a five hour tag-team program called Extravaganza from 9am through to 2pm.

You can email Paul here: sundaybrunch@alive905.com.au.
