Timor and Mosa Gherjestani – Radio Payam

Sundays 6pm to 7pm

Radio Payam actively promotes community harmony and educates the Hazara and other Afghanistan communities about Australian values, rights as Australians and responsibilities too. But most importantly, it guides you to take your place as valuable members of the general community and to integrate with other communities in Australia.

Radio Payam was established with a major aim of creating an awareness and appreciation of the great achievements of our Hazara community in education, the arts, cultural diversity and community development. By giving the community a voice through Payam Radio, individuals in our community, mums and dads, sons and daughters are encouraged to express their views and ideas, and most importantly to be partners in preserving and developing the ancient, wonderful and rich Hazara identity, history and culture.

You are urged and encouraged to participate in Radio Payam.

Paul Savrimoutou – Sunday Brunch

Sunday 9am to 11am

Alive 90.5 has featured Sunday Brunch for many years. It all started with Ian Maurice followed by Nina Harris and Debra Dicembre. Over the years the music changed a little but the emphasis was always on good, relaxing music.

Paul Savrimoutou now brings his own style to the program, featuring smooth jazz music with a bit of a twist.

From 9am to 11 he plays the music of George Benson, Bob James, Lee Ritenour,Larry Carlton, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Al Jarreau, Incognito, Anita Baker, Sade, Bobby Caldwell, Gabriella Anders, Abe Laboriel, Michael Franks, Brian Bromberg, Marcus Miller, Earth Wind and Fire, Quincy Jones, John Patitucci, Chick Corea, Jean-Luc Ponty, Tommy Emmanuel, Chuck Loeb, Spyro Gyra, Diana Krall, Chris Standring, Grover Washington Jr, Jeff Lorber and many more.

Anybody who listens to Sunday Brunch for two  hours and feel they would like more should stay tuned because Bassikly Grooving  follows at 11:00 with more great music. Larry and Paul are great buddies with similar tastes in music. So every few months Larry and Paul join forces for a five hour tag-team program called Extravaganza from 9am through to 2pm.

Gillian Shrickker – Kaleidoscope

KALEIDESCOPE is presented by Gillian Schrickker every Sunday morning between 7-9am.

A “tube-like” mix of Urban Gospel, Smooth Jazz, RNB, Funk and Old School that you can enjoy to start your week.  With the different genres of music… its like a changing and enjoyable mixture of sounds….. taking on the shape of a KALEIDESCOPE!

Gillian joined Alive 90.5 (then 2CCR Fm90.5) about 10years ago after being invited to join another program of a similar music nature.  Since then she has hosted on Urban Air, filled in for “Drive Time” and other programs when needed.  When the presenter of “Wake up to Praise” indicated that he would no longer be able to host that program, she was asked whether she would like to fill the spot.  Gillian continued to host Urban Air and started hosting Kaleidescope on Sunday mornings

Kaleidescope is geared toward reaching a diverse audience by featuring a mix of gospel, smooth jazz, RNB, Funk and Old School that attracts all ages.

The timing of the show is a great start to our Sunday mornings with programs of similar genres follows, thus attracting a wider listener base.

The program includes an inspiring and uplifting message or word that can set you apart from the worries and concerns of yesterday.  Its about delivering Gods word in Song.

Gillian is married with 2 beautiful girls and is involved in many community events as well as working part-time, enjoying running.  She has her own promotions company, hosting Jazz nights in the local area.  She loves seeing people smile and being happy and what better way to show it, than to play music that sooths the soul and share the Gospel to feed your heart.

She loves to interact with her listeners therefore encouraging you to call her at the studio or email her on gillian@gglobalpromo.com.  Tuning in will also give you the opportunity to find out more about events and Jazz Nights in the Hills local area.

Why not join her Facebook friends for notices of studio guests and specials.
