Australia Day Outside Broadcast 2012

Station News — James Eden, January 18, 2012, 10:11 am

Update: Due to bad weather conditions, the Outside Broadcast from Parramatta Park has been cancelled. Instead, you can catch PK live on air from our Baulkham Hills Studios from 6:00am till 10:00am with All Australian Music!

To celebrate Australia Day with the community, Alive 90.5 is joining in with two local events.

From 6:00am to 10:00am on Australia Day, we will be broadcasting live from the festivities at the Aerial Carnivale in Parramatta Park. We will be playing 100% Australian music to get you in the mood for the rest of the day, and we will be featuring interviews with some of the special guests at the park, including people such as local MP’s and other note-worthy Australians. If you come on down to Parramatta Park and find our tent, you might even get the chance to be heard live on air.

Then from 4:00pm, we will be opening the doors to our studio and offices at Balcombe Heights, so you can come on down and see how Alive 90.5 runs. You might even meet some of your favourite announcers. Along with that, you can walk down to the oval opposite the studios and join in with the Baulkham Hills Australia Day celebrations. There will be free rides, food, and live entertainment on stage from bands ‘My Future Lies’ and ‘Dragon’. If you stay long enough, you can enjoy the huge fireworks display that will start at 9:00pm.

So celebrate Australia Day 2012, Alive 90.5 style.
