If Justin Bieber is today’s ‘teenage idol’, then Bobby Rydell was his equivalent in the early 1960′s. A talented pop/rock singer, Rydell was also a noted actor, impressionist and drummer.
Rydell High in the movie “Grease” was named in his honour – and today he’s still one of the most sought-after nightclub and concert acts in the USA.
Tune in to the Morning Magazine with Happy Jack next Monday, 2nd July, and hear some of Bobby Rydell’s biggest hits and the background on his life so far.
