Our broadcasting area
The local government areas of Parramatta, Holroyd and the Hills are diverse, with a total population in excess of 390,000 people. 2CCR FM broadcasts to this area twenty four hours a day, seven days a week with a range of programming as diverse as the area itself.
These three areas fall under the ACMA licencing classification of Parramatta RA1 (map), which covers roughly 260Km2 of land. While this is our licenced area, our signal can be heard in other surrounding areas in the Sydney basin. We also have a world-wide audience via our internet streaming.
How many people listen?
A recent McNair Ingenuity Survey revealed 57% of Australians aged 15+ years listen to Community Radio in a month! With a population of 316,285 people (15+) in our broadcast area, this translates to an estimated listenership in excess of 154,979 in an average month.
